Short stays in Rungis

Rungis is best known for its market, and perhaps that’s what brings you here. Finding a rental for a short stay in Rungis is not particularly difficult, provided you get in there early enough. There are a number of options but one of the ones that gives you the most independence while offering quality hotel services is without a doubt the aparthotel.

Look no further than the aparthotel for a short stay in Rungis

Even if you are only staying for a few days, finding the right accommodation can make all the difference when it comes to having a successful stay. The aparthotel is a fantastic choice and makes every holiday a pleasure.

Increasingly commonplace in major cities, the aparthotel option will meet all your expectations when you stay in Rungis. Indeed, this type of residence combines the independence and comfort of an apartment with the traditional services offered by a quality hotel, such as a concierge, bed making service, housekeeping, etc.

By opting for this solution, get a comfortable living space and enjoy the facilities and services offered by the residence. Each apartment has an equipped kitchenette, a private bathroom as well as a living area and even a desk. You can prepare your own meals in the kitchenette, which will significantly reduce your holiday spend. The aparthotel also stands out for its attractive rates given the services it offers.

Things to do in Rungis

A visit to Rungis international market is a must (but reserved for professionals or students as part of an educational visit), but there are plenty of other options in the town. Unless you are too tired by your visit to the market, take advantage of your stay in Rungis to discover the activities available in the city and the surrounding area.

Guided tour of the market

If you are in Rungis on business, you will of course be able to visit the market. But please note that visits are now reserved for:

  • professionals in the food, catering, horticulture and decoration professions, and for future buyers;
  • schools and training organisations (visits for students and apprentices);
  • companies and organisations.

However, you can still enjoy the 19 on-site restaurants, which are open during the opening hours of Rungis International Market. Traditional cuisine, Italian, fish, tripe… restaurants, bistros, snack bars… book a table in the restaurant that most takes your fancy!

Restaurants

The area is full of them and some really do honour Rungis Market. Chef Michaël Charpentier concocts refined French cuisine at the Grange des Halles: €35-40 per person. For a less refined but equally fresh cuisine, try the La Bigouden creperie, which combines a pleasant welcome with delicious pancakes: average of €15 per person.

In terms of dining, the Rungis halls also offer a wide choice, catering to every taste: La Cantine du Troquet, Dai Cugini, À la Marée, Au Veau qui tête, Chaud Devant !, to name but a few.

Nearby parks

If you want to get some fresh air, there are several parks nearby. The Espace Arthur Clark, in the commune of Wissous, offers a beautiful walk around several ponds. As you walk around, you’ll see parakeets, water hens and ducks. The Parc du Château, in Morsang-sur-Orge, includes, among other facilities, a cave, an orangery, a stepped fountain, ponds and lakes and beautiful old woodlands.

Rungis and its region offer a wide range of things to do during a short stay. You won’t have time to get bored.
